Changning promotes foreigner-friendly payment system
Currently, over 1,000 foreign card POS machines have been equipped in key commercial venues in Changning District. Merchants can provide international payment services, such as VISA and Mastercard, for foreigners to enjoy the convenience of payment.
A reporter visited L'Avenue located in the Hongqiao-Gubei business district and found that signs of international payment were posted in significant positions.
On the first floor of the mall, an American named Steven was buying coffee. He told the reporter that the blue and yellow logo was simple and easy to identify, and he found the foreign card payment experience very convenient.
Currently, the shops in L'Avenue that have installed foreign card POS machines include multiple internationally renowned first-tier brands, with product categories ranging from clothing to jewelry and watches.
At the same time, the mall service center has three additional foreign card POS machines. If customers cannot pay with foreign cards in the store, they can pay at the service center.
Shanghai is actively promoting a comprehensive payment service system that combines credit cards, code scanning and cash. Various merchants, such as L'Avenue, Shanghai Takashimaya and Xijiao Bailian Shopping Center, have added or upgraded POS machines to support foreign card payment.
In addition, department stores such as Shanghai Takashimaya and Parkson also have tax refund points for departing foreigners. Eligible foreigners can go to the corresponding mall service center with the tax refund application form to receive cash refund.
Next, Changning will continue to guide key commercial complexes, special commercial blocks and supermarket stores to further increase the coverage of foreign card POS machines.
